The 24-karat gold Xbox One is Microsoft’s first ever gold-plated gaming system version. This also aims to raise the gaming status while screams of exclusivity as it is only available for limited quantities at Harrods Technology section in London, UK. Harrods also has not provided any official details as to how many of this gold Xbox one will be available.

This luxury gaming gadget would cost you roughly £6000 or $9774. Do not get disappointed for under the gold exterior is the standard Xbox One console with no other extra features. The standard Xbox one, which debuted last November 22, is priced for only £429 or $700 with accompanying accessories such as a wireless controller, Kinect, 4k enabled HDMI cable and a chat headset.

Yusuf Medhi, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Marketing for Xbox, said they were overwhelmed by the positive response from the customers, after Xbox one sold for 2 million units, 18 days after it was launched.  “We are thrilled to see sales of Xbox One on a record-setting pace, with over 2 million Xbox One consoles in homes around the world,” he added.

Thus, Microsoft is planning to release new stocks on January 8. “We’re also particularly excited to see consumers engaging in a wide range of games and entertainment experiences on the platform, with more than 1 million paid transactions on Xbox Live to date.”
