Vicente del Bosque, who celebrated his 63rd birthday on Monday, has revealed that he voted for Franck Ribéry for the Ballon d'Or, as well as for Spanish duo Xavi and Iniesta.
"I followed my conscience. I didn't want to get dragged into a battle or a war. I don't think it's a big deal", the Spain boss told Radio MARCA.
"I voted for Xavi and Iniesta. With them on the list, I couldn't not vote for them. My third pick was Ribéry, for a logical reason: he's won more than anyone else in Europe. He lifted the German league, the cup and the Champions League and helped France qualify for the World Cup. He's a worthy representative of Bayern Munich", explained the former Real Madrid coach.
