Thiago Motta open to Paris Saint-Germain exit

Thiago Motta open to Paris Saint-Germain exit
The Italy international is happy at the Parc des Princes but would consider a move if he is not assured of his place in the first team
Thiago Motta has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Paris Saint-Germain amid rumoured interest from Juventus.

The Brazil-born midfielder joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Inter in January 2012 for a figure believed to be around €10 million and has since made 46 appearances for the club.

However, though negotiations over a new contract are said to be ongoing, Motta hinted that he could be tempted to leave the Parc des Princes if he was not guaranteed a significant role at the club, with Juventus said to be lining him up as a potential replacement for veteran playmaker Andrea Pirlo.

"I'm fine in Paris but I want to be seen as important," the 31-year-old was quoted by Tuttosport after his side's 3-1 win over Nice on Saturday. "If not, we'll look for an alternative solution."

Motta has been a regular feature in PSG's line-up this campaign, playing 15 times in all competitions and scoring twice in a 4-1 Champions League win over Olympiakos.
