A step Head...

Samsung to launch curved screen smartphone in October

Update (September 25 1445 GMT+8): Korea's Money Today News says the phone will be released in Q4.
A new type of smartphone will be making its debut in October, according to a Samsung spokesperson. Lee DJ, Samsung's mobile business head of strategic marketing, apparently told Reuters that the company is planning to "introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea."
The Korean electronics giant had previously shown off several prototype handsets with flexible and bendable screens earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. It is unknown if the smartphone expected in October, is one of them, but it will be interesting to see one with a curved display that extends over the edge, similar to what Samsung showcased at CES.
Samsung also makes expensive curved OLED TVs, so bringing that technology to a smaller device seems somewhat expected, since the company manufactures its own panels.
